Prissy and her Jack O Lantern

I truly love all the holidays but I have to admit that I have the most fun with my Halloween creations. This past week I have been sorting through my Halloween fabrics and finding all kinds of inspiration. This little miss is my Prissy and her little Jack O Lantern ornament. Prissy is made of heavy weight cotton muslin that I have tightly stuffed, painted, sanded and painted again. She has hand stitched round little nose and ears. I have carefully hand painted her facial features to bring them to life. Her arms are wired and can be posed any way you wish. Her little party hat is made of black and cream cotton ticking and is embellished with vintage buttons, orange tinsel garland and a orange satin ribbon tied around her neck. Her little dress is so kitchy cute done up in orange print cotton fabric with a ticking inset and a rick rack trimmed peter pan collar. Her pantaloons are made of cotton muslin and trimmed with vintage lace. Her little black slippers and striped stockings are painted on and sanded and distressed just a bit to age them. Prissy is carrying along her little Jack O Lantern that I have made of painted muslin. He is distressed with paint and sanding and features his own little party hat and a fabric wrapped wire handle. Prissy is just about 26 inches long from the top of her hat to the tips of her toes. This is just the cutest pair and they are even more charming in person. They are a one of a kind Pixie's Thimble creation and will come to you signed and dated. Please feel free to email me with any questions of comments you may have. I love to hear from folks. Thank you for visiting with us today.
